I still think she was trained by Luke. She's probably Kylo's younger sister or cousin if they make her Luke's. But she was a prodigy and Kylo was jealous of her cause he's older and had been training longer and she was just better somehow(feminazis) . So snoke tempts Kylo and he kills a bunch of Luke's students and probably one of the Knights of Ren is about to kill Rey when Kylo kills that Knight, maybe all of them. To save her. He sends her off to Jakku after wiping her mind. Or snoke wipes her mind. And Luke is guilty and Han and Leia divorce. At least that's what I got out of it.

I he suspended laser bolt is the most unrealistic part. If he did catch it midair, why would it continue to want to move forward? It also would have dinner and cooled down as long as he held it. Blaster bolts don't fly forever.

Kirk could have easily seen the Enterprise from space/in orbit. They no doubt have cheap space travel and space stations and observation decks in orbit. The spacedocks probably have visitor's days like real navies do for crew families. Kirk's dad was in Starfleet and he'd have easy access to space. But JJ is lazy and ruined Trek and Wars for money. Clearly he's a Babylon 5 or Battlestar Galactica fan trying to cripple the other franchises.

The bad acting and cg gripes are invalid. You're not holding the OT to the same standard as you are the PT. Yoda is clearly a puppet. So is Jabba. The Jawas are clearly dwarves. You're ignoring how fake and janky a lot of the OT is. And there's a lot of bad acting in the OT too. The OT is better than the PT of course, but hold then both to the same standard.

Steve, you keep acting as if there's a consensus on the Prequels and Special editions. And I assume the holiday special because that's how that "prequels sucked" meme works. Ot purists and Han Solo fanboys hated the Special Editions and Prequels. These same people rank ESB ad the best because Han is the main character in it and it has the most of him and the Falcon. It's that simple. And it's a meme that caught steam and became popular. People say they hate the PT to avoid being made fun of and eventually people like you think there's a consensus on opinion. The Prequels are great and there's tons of proof out there that it's at least 50/50 on them.
