It was the podcast that almost never happened... three times (at least). Maybe we should have taken the hint... But we defied fate and the powers that be to bring you a discussion of the greatest controversy classic GI Joe: ARAH ever produced: Cobra La (lalalalalalalalalala!).
We talk the three-pack, weird historical coincidences, and our VERY varied reception of this animation milestone. Plus a little much needed reflection and thanks-giving for the epic year that was 2018.
Yo Joburg everybody!

Globulous was using our technology against us. That's poetic.

Trust me, Hollywood lost touch with Americans around 9/11.

I like the Guard best too. It's fly like but the armor and colors make it seem regal. I can see a Cobra Royal Guard that's a iteration or repaint of the Royal Guard.

And speaking of the Vong, I took my modern Nemesis Enforcer and painted his armor red. I see him as a Yuuzhan Vong custom WIP. I just need to modify his face and make him look more grotesque.

Cujo, I love how the Yuuzhan Vong from Star Wars are basically Cobra La from another galaxy. I also see the Vong as anti Muslim propaganda if you think about it. I know they came out in 1999, but like Halo(2000?), we were prepared for that war without knowing it.

Can we all agree that the Globulous toy looks like a gi Joe sex toy?

The word Seraphim, as in high talking Angek(malachim) means brazen serpent. And the serpent in the garden that tempts Eve is named Gadreel(pronounced God-ree-el). This serpent was a fallen angel(malachim). And Was cursed to eat dust and crawl on it's belly after tempting Eve. It was a serpent, but became what we know as a snake. The word serpent had a more vague meaning than just a snake. The word for demon(tannin) was also used for dangerous beasts like crocodiles and jackals. I find this interesting because the Bible in Hebrew makes the most sense. The KJv is a corrupted version and they call Yahweh(the deity of the Bible) "God" hundreds of times and this was the short name of Gadreel(Satan). They also call Messiah "Jesus" which is a pagan form of his true name Yeoshua. Jesus is a form of the name Zeus. So imagine monotheistic people calling their deity a pagan deity's name unknowingly because they don't even bother to learn the language the Word was written in. I know that's really deep and controversial, but this is the episode for it. 🍻

And cujo is right how we're shown things in movies and TV shows that is real but because we see it in fiction we think it's not true. Like conspiracies. The CIA popularized "conspiracy theorist" to shame people into silence. Same with Racist and sexist. And homophobe and islamaphobe.
