I think the reasoning behind blue skin tones for zombies, outside of the too zombie, is that in real life dead bodies tend to go a shade of blue after losing blood and decaying. I've heard this from both Tom Savini and Greg Nicotero in bts footage for Romero zombie films.

Hey guys I don't know if you ever read the SD Perry Resident Evil novels, but the Zombie viper sounds like the Caliban Cove zombie soldiers that could still take orders and fire weapons. Just thought I'd mention it. Thanks for making these podcasts too.
