Well Friedman doesn't represent the show guys. The voice actors and other people involved or the people at Hasbro are more responsible for the cartoon than Friedman. The cartoon is great compared to other cartoons at the time. The toy line only benefited from the cartoon. And it's never meant to be high art. Holding it to that level or real world realism is a waste of time. Even the comics are cartoonish. The MCC popping out of the ground sticks out instantly. Not that I don't like outlandish/whimsical military sci fi. 😅

It's a franchise aimed at men. It's not wrong for it to be chauvinistic. Just like Sex and the City is chauvinistic towards men. It's okay for women to have shows and films for them. It's okay for us to have our sexy broads in black leather. 😎

Well the problem is you're applying real life logic to a cartoon. It's not like the people who wrote it don't know it's not realistic. It's to push a narrative along. Nothing more. And the toys are just meant to be fun, not realistic scaled miniatures. It's warfare and science dumbed down for boys to get them to enlist.
