GI Joburg Episode 22
Tuesday May 28, 2013
Tuesday May 28, 2013
In this episode the GI Joburg team roll out their top five fantasy picks of characters needing GI Joe action figure treatment. Paul hates on Megan Fox; Steve wants to peel April O'Neil's banana; and Rob has no idea who Jem is... ...not that Jem is in this episode. Why would we do a thing like that? Get your Snake out of its box and give it a whirl!

Can I just say something about spoiler alerts? Good movies, shows, and games can't be spoiled. They're so good you rewatch then over and over like Star Wars or Scarface. I saw the last fifteen minutes of Fight Club before watching the whole film and I've seen that movie like five times since. The only media that has to have a spoiler alert buffer sucks in the first place. In my opinion. 😅

Oh! Starship Troopers. I use the arachnid toy with Joe's anyways but would love that line if it had been Joe scaled.

Before you guys really get going I want to say the toys I'd want and see if we line up on anything: Gundam 8th MS Team is my first choice. It not only has the most militaristic Gundam's, it also has the cool hovertank and some decent aircraft. o-ring or 25th anniversary style figures from that series and Mechs in as close a true scale as possible to the figures as well as the hover tank and a jet or some other vehicles would be a great set of toys to play with the Joe's. Evangelion would be toys if want in 18th scale too, but it's not near as Joe like as 8th MS team. Alien and Predator would be neat with the Joe style bodies too. They could make a Predator ship, the Marine troop vehicle, a dropship, and maybe a narcissus (the escape craft in the first Alien). And that makes me think Halo figures in scale with Joe's are badly needed. So many vehicles and characters and troop builders. Resident Evil figures in this scale with a mansion playset would be awesome. But it wouldn't really have vehicles. Dino Riders would be great and Lanard is covering that nicely with their Primal Clash. Star Trek needs a dedicated 18th scale line too. When the JJ trek toys did the 3 3/4 figure and playsets I bought them all. And I was pissed that I never got the second wave to complete the bridge and characters. But a set of main cast and a bridge and shuttle for TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, and ENT would be awesome too. I have all the 90's playmates figures and D Bridge and a shuttle and engineering, but hate that they aren't in 1/18th scale. Can't think of any others right now.
