Stan wrote the characters. So he's part creator along with Kirby/Dikto.

Well I couldn't disagree more that the MCU did you he characters justice several characters were ruined. Stark, Spiderman, iron fist/Luke Cage, Daredevil in the third season, and especially Thor and Captain Marvel.
