Friday Mar 02, 2018
So Black Panther is a thing... the boys have one or two opinions on it they would like to share. But we've also got some exciting news to discuss with regards to the Joe Fund Me campaign, and also a discussion of the most recent YouTube adventure: Atlantis Factor Part 2 Featuring the Moray! So even if you feel like the movie hype is a little played out, there are a few other reasons to give this episode a spin. Not least of which because you love us, and we looove you!

I may have differences of opinions on some things, but it was extremely interesting to hear an African perspective on the film. 😏

I can't believe you guys didn't notice that Black Panther built a technological barrier, or wall, around his nation to protect it from Invaders....or illegal immigrants. And the antagonist is a militant racist BLM type black American BP was subtly pro Trump. Or reinforced his position.

They we're protecting the public from the rhino, who is secretly African Hulk, only he only gets bigger when he's horny...

Guys, I've lived in California and Louisiana and have traveled the southwest. Racism is not rampant in America. There's vocal minorities. KKK? Probably like 10,000 out of 330 million. That's nothing. But ten thousand edgelording trolls online can talk a lot of shit. Same with BLM or Black Israelites. Who also are in the teens of thousands. General public is just working and getting by but say things at times and their minds change often.

Paul never read the old marvel run with the original forms of the MCU characters, so him saying that Nick Fury being black is better and he's characteristics are better is meaningless. Fury, the real Fury, has a much richer history than Sam Jackson's. And I'm sorry, David hasslehoff is a way better fury and gets that it's still a comic book no matter how realistic you make it.

Cujo should have said to Stephen that rally may not be the best choice of words. 🤣

I think first avenger and BP are the top two MCU films because of how accurate the portrayal of the character and Origins are for each.

What?!? You better not stop doing o-ring vintage figure videos. 😮

Doesn't Black Panther's clandestine operations on the continent run contrary to the notion of isolationism? Maybe he was blurring the lines and trying to do some good on a continent that sorely needs it. That's what I got. ~S

You guys really missed a lot of the story as it was presented. WAKANDA is a separatist nation. They kept themselves secret to avoid giving the world as they know it, any more power to commit worse atrocities. Cujo seems to be the only one who really caught the story as presented. What you want vs what is presented are 2 different things. Feeling let down because it didn't do what YOU wanted it to,is just...whew! C'mon! But I will say that the end battle was meh. No need for CG everything. We needed a badass martial art showcase.
