Did Paul not watch Return of the Jedi? Luke is tempered by the fight with Vader. He built a new saber which implies he's training. He force chokes this two pig guards. He kills how many skiff guards? A rancor? How many Stormtroopers and scout troopers? Then purposely gets captured to face Vader AND the Emperor. Paul, Stephen, how do you not know that Luke is a badass in Return, hence the all black?!? They were implying he was a master. And that's why the EU makes more sense when he trains the younger Jedi. Lucas even said post ROTJ story is handled by the novels from before Disney. This is why I differentiate real SW fan from casual sci fi fans. 😔

Finn is clearly supposed to be Black Han. Finn, Han. Former imperial turned scoundrel rebel. It's overt. Him and Rey will most likely still be a thing in the Rise.

As much as I hate last Jedi, I don't hate the Leia flying scene. It made sense to me as an EU fan.

They show the x wings and falcon being refueled in ANH guys. The Xwing also has two fuels, one for sublight and one for hyperdrive. Their idea makes sense, but the fact that it's ripped off of Battlestar is a slap in the face to SW fans. Just like hiring JJ to fuck up SW like he did Trek.

Luke in Disney's fan fiction sucks. In the EU Luke got more badass over time like the OT. He trains Han and Leias three kids and eventually his own son, Ben Skywalker. The EU is the canon. Disney is even ripping it off in all their stuff. Rey is basically Jaina Solo, Sateele, and Tenel Ka rolled into one. Kylo is Jacen Solo when he was Darth Caedus, only no where near as cool as what the EU did. jacens motives we're from loss of his younger brother, who sacrifices himself to save Jacen and some other Jedi. EU is better guys. It's way more epic. I tear up when I think about Chewie's death or Anakin Solo's.

Disney's last Jedi is anti religion on an esoteric level. And anti family. They call it dynasty but truly it's about family. They want family to be your friends. Like f your parents they suck and are old. Your friends are young and hip so they know better.

They killed off Luke. And Han. That's what the hate is about. There will never be an on screen grouping of the OT cast. Disney F'ed up SW for fans that truly funded SW up until the sale.
