What's in a number, right? Well, if nothing else, it's a great excuse to feature some FANTASTIC guests on the show. In an episode loosely subtitled GI Joe: The Past, Present and Future; we go way back to some treasured childhood memories with Steve's oldest friend, Alastair Stokell; we talk figure and vehicle customization with a master of the game, Jim Godfrey; and we speculate on the future of GI Joe with a true pillar of the community, Bryan "HCC788" Lower. Pop a cork with us and let's ring in the triple digits! It only took six years...

Patriotic Americans only like Joe for it's patriotic ideals to the US. Which is what it started as. Propaganda is only bad when it promotes something wrong.

There's also Terrain Tutor out of Britain who does mini terrain. It scales well so it's Joe worthy if you're wanting to make a display or play table.

I watch a guy in New Zealand called SonicSledgehammerStudios on YouTube. He does Warhammer and other miniature painting tutorials. He's really good and explains it well. And his camera is right up on the figure so you see everything.

I love 8th MS Team. My favorite Gundam series. It's the most realistic to me.

Stephen, I too never really stopped playing with my figures. From Highschool till now it's just been me though. I'm in that 2%. I had this sort of therapeutic game I played when I would get home from work. I have several figures that were avatars for me over the years. But for this game I would use my new sculpt era Torpedo. The one in the green and has the wool cap on. Green's my favorite color and he's a seal so you know he's badass. It sort of looks like me. And new sculpt Shipwreck oddly looked like my dad who was former Navy. I'm also born in Chula Vista like shipwreck so it fits.y dad passed away when I was 17 so this game would involve my main character using this God-like power given to him almost like Q giving Riker the power of the Q. So very narcissistic unintentionally and out of dealing with loss. But my main would sometimes resurrect my dad and I'd have him go on missions with me. I would also have female Joe's and Cobra and other brands as ex girlfriends and female friends. And I had specific Joe's and cobras for male friends of mine. We moved when I was 14 so I have two sets of friends separated by 1300 miles of the US. When you described Shifters it reminds me of how I "played". I haven't done that angle in a while as I moved on from the loss angle. Now it's mostly toy photography with narratives guiding them. But when I get new figures I pose them and think up scenarios. And I'm starting to collect the vintage Joe's since all my childhood Joe's are gone. I have some of my Corps from the 90's left but they're all custom zombies. I have a fair amount of new sculpt and a decent set of the 25th and POC/Retaliation figures. I never noticed the 50th anniversary in my local area so it sucks that I missed out, but hopefully we'll get more Joe's soon. And hopefully now that Hasbro is doing vintage remakes of the SW figues they'll do the same for the o ring Joe's.
